Grants, Scholarships, Fellowships, and Competitions

Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Scholarships

SWE Scholarships support women pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science in the United States. In 2017, SWE disbursed approximately 233 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $715,000.

Applicants complete one application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

2018 UCLA Computer Science Competition

The UCLA Innovation Fund is partnering with Bow Capital and Osage University Partners to launch a campus-wide computer science competition.

Our mission is to assist the further development of early-stage software created at UCLA to the point of startup company formation. First and second place winners will receive investments to support commercialization activities that would not be supported by basic research grants.

First Place Winner: $75,000

Second Place Winner: $50,000

LA Female Founder Office Hours

Volunteer as a judge at the 63nd annual Orange County Science Fair! Judges will work in pairs to interview students, evaluate their work, and provide feedback and encouragement. USC Viterbi Robotics Open House – April 11th, 2018

The USC Viterbi Robotics Open House is a free event held every year during National Robotics Week. Reservations are required to get a check-in time for the self-paced visit to up to 20 robotics research laboratories. Morning times are reserved for students from K-12 schools, and the afternoon is open to the public as well as USC students, alumni, staff, faculty. Everyone should check in at 3710 McClintock Ave. in order to get a map and guide to all of the open labs.
